Description

Pabrinex Intravenous High Potency Concentrate for Solution for infusion provides additional vitamins B and C to correct deficiencies and support overall health and wellbeing. Deficiencies may be the case in instances such as in alcoholism, after infections, after operations, poor diet, long-term medication use, and malabsorption.

Pabrinex IVHP should only be administered by a qualified professional, by drip infusion into a vein, and should not be administered by any other route. The product comes in two ampoules, the contents of which are first diluted with either saline or 5% glucose solution and then given over a 30-minute period. Each pair of ampoules to be used in treatment is labelled Pabrinex No 1 and Pabrinex No 2.

No 1, 5ml ampoule contains:

• Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) – 250mg
• Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) –  4mg
• Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B5) – 50mg

No 2, 5ml ampoule contains:

• Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) – 500mg
• Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) – 160mg
• Glucose (as monohydrate)  – 1000mg
